Tanning Preparation
A little care before your appointment tan will result in a more even looking tan, and a longer lasting tan!
Scrub! Give your whole body a gentle exfoliation in the shower in the days leading up to your tan. Focus on rough, dry areas like elbows, knees and feet.
Hair removal is best done at least 24 hours before your appointment to allow your skin to recover from any irritation.
Did you know… the soap strip on disposable razors leaves a thin film on the skin preventing your spray tan from absorbing. A light exfoliation with a loofah will remove this and ensure a polished looking tan!
Pack something loose, dark and comfortable to wear home. Your technician will provide a disposable thong to wear during your tan, you can go completely buff or bring your own knickers to wear but be aware these are the ‘tan lines’ you’ll have afterwards.
At your appointment.
To achieve the best results, we have a few tips for the day of your appointment.
Arrive 5 minutes before your appointment to ensure time for a good chat with your spray tan technician.
We have a huge range of tanning options so please discuss your needs with your technician. Our goal is to deliver the perfect long lasting tan!
A shower beforehand is highly recommended.
Do NOT apply moisturiser, deodorant or makeup as these can all affect the application and quality of your tan.
Remove all jewelry, wear slip on shoes and dark, loose clothing that won’t rub or show any tan residue.
After Tanning Care.
Keep your glow, longer. After care extends your tan and keeps your skin looking silky and smooth.
Depending on your skin type, pre-tan preparation and after tan care, your tan will generally last between 5 to 7 days for fair skin and 7 to 10 days for olive toned skin.
Between being sprayed and showering, avoid any activity that may result in perspiration as this may affect the end result of your tan.
Flash Tans must be washed off after 2 hours and before 4 hours. Classic Tan must be washed off after 6 hours and before 12 hours. Leaving your tanning solution on longer than the recommended time frame will result in over-processing of your tan. Orange is NOT the new black!
Taking a spa or swimming in chlorinated water will reduce the life of your tan, drinking water and hydrating your skin will extend it.
Use a gentle soap only when necessary and pat yourself dry rather than rubbing.
Nourish your skin with a fragrance free moisturiser daily.
